On Thursday, December 9 Mother general Maria and Mother Assistant Joseph Christine spent the day at Jeanne Jugan Residence, Washington, D.C. Archbishop Christophe Pierre, apostolic nuncio and a good friend of the Congregation, celebrated Mass for us, happy to share memories of his years as nuncio in Mexico on the feast of St. Juan Diego. Mother Maria was in awe to meet so many Residents and staff members from so many different countries. Internationality is definitely a hallmark of our D.C. Home!
The day included a brief but full tour of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
