Mother General MarÍa and Mother Assistant Joseph Christine began their visit to the United States on April 8 at our home in Palatine, IL. This visit will take them to the homes in the Chicago province, plus a visit to our novitiate in Queens, NY.
During their time in Palatine, a suburb of Chicago, Bishop Timothy O’Malley, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Chicago, celebrated a Mass for vocations at the home. Mother General and her companion greeted the Jeanne Jugan Associates and staff, as well as the Residents, whom they visited in their dining rooms. They also made time to meet the home’s benefactors and volunteer, together with families of Little Sisters from the area.
